Service Coordinator Jobs in Houston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a service coordinator job in Houston?
Focus your search on Houston's largest employment hubs: the Texas Medical Center for healthcare coordinator roles, the Energy Corridor for field and operations support, and Greenway Plaza for corporate service positions. Healthcare networks, property management firms, and energy services companies hire most consistently. Candidates who can show experience managing work orders, coordinating schedules across multiple teams, or handling patient or client intake tend to stand out in Houston's competitive market.
Which companies hire service coordinators in Houston?
Companies currently hiring service coordinators in Houston include BakerRipley, Banfield Pet Hospital, and Siemens, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Houston's hiring is driven by a mix of large hospital systems, energy services contractors, and commercial property management groups, all of which rely on service coordinators to keep operations running day to day.
Are there remote service coordinator jobs in Houston?
Yes, though availability depends on the role type. Service coordinator positions that involve physical scheduling, facility walkthroughs, or on-site client contact are almost always in-person, while desk-based intake, billing coordination, and dispatch roles are more likely to be hybrid. About 34% of service coordinator openings tied to Houston are remote or hybrid as of September 2026. Corporate and administrative coordinator roles in Greenway Plaza and Westchase tend to offer the most flexibility.
How can I get a service coordinator job in Houston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Houston is through a support or administrative role at one of the Texas Medical Center's member institutions, where entry-level scheduling assistant and patient access positions regularly lead to coordinator titles within a year or two. Property management companies in Midtown and Montrose also hire entry-level service coordinators to handle tenant requests and vendor scheduling. Strong candidates emphasize any experience with scheduling software, customer communication, or multi-step logistics, even from retail, hospitality, or volunteer work.
Which industries hire the most service coordinators in Houston?
Most service coordinator openings in Houston sit in Manufacturing, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Houston's size as a medical hub, its dense concentration of energy services firms, and its large commercial real estate market all create sustained, high-volume demand for coordinators who can manage scheduling, vendor relations, and client communication at scale.
