Servicenow Administrator Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a servicenow administrator in Texas?
The most direct path is earning the ServiceNow Certified System Administrator credential, which requires completing ServiceNow's official training and passing the CSA exam. Texas has no state-issued license for this role, so the CSA is the industry standard hiring managers look for. Most Texas employers also expect a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, though candidates with an associate degree plus hands-on lab or project experience are competitive at entry level.
How much do servicenow administrators make in Texas?
Servicenow administrators in Texas earn a median of about $101,240 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $63,650 for the lowest 10% to over $155,430 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire servicenow administrators in Texas?
Employers hiring servicenow administrators in Texas right now include Amazon, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and Academy Sports + Outdoors, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of large corporate headquarters, defense contractors, and major health systems makes it one of the more consistent states for ongoing ServiceNow hiring outside of seasonal spikes.
Which Texas cities have the most servicenow administrator jobs?
Austin, Dallas, and Houston have the most servicenow administrator openings in Texas. Dallas leads because of its dense cluster of Fortune 500 headquarters and financial services firms that run enterprise-scale ServiceNow environments, while Houston's energy and healthcare sectors drive steady demand, and Austin's growing tech industry adds another concentrated pocket of platform-focused hiring.
Are there remote servicenow administrator jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most IT fields, because servicenow administration is fundamentally a platform and configuration role that does not require physical presence. About 8% of servicenow administrator openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how widely distributed enterprise teams have become. Configuration, scripting, and ITSM workflow work are the tasks most consistently offered remotely, while on-site requirements typically apply only during initial deployment projects.
How can I get hired as a servicenow administrator in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is completing ServiceNow's free Now Learning training catalog and earning the Certified System Administrator credential before applying. In Texas, large health systems like HCA Houston Healthcare and state agencies such as the Texas Department of Information Resources occasionally post junior administrator or IT analyst roles that treat the CSA as a qualifying substitute for years of experience. Lateral moves from IT help desk, systems analyst, or junior developer positions are common stepping stones, and building a portfolio of personal or lab-environment ServiceNow instances strengthens any application.
Where can I find and apply to servicenow administrator jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to servicenow administrator jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings from employers actively hiring for the role. Find the roles that fit your experience and location preferences and apply directly to the ones that match.
