Mid Level Social Media Strategist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level social media strategist job?
Position yourself as someone who has owned results, not just executed tasks. Highlight campaigns you led from brief to reporting, platforms you managed independently, and decisions you made without close supervision. Tailor your resume to show measurable impact, such as engagement growth or audience expansion, and make sure your portfolio reflects strategic thinking rather than content production alone.
Which companies hire mid level social media strategists?
Companies hiring mid level social media strategists right now include OneBlood, SeatGeek, and Sentry, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of organizations, including consumer brands, media companies, agencies, and retailers that need strategists capable of running programs independently.
Are there remote mid level social media strategist jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid options are common at this level. About 57% of mid level social media strategist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how many organizations have accepted distributed work for roles that are primarily digital. On-site positions still exist, often at agencies or companies that prioritize in-person collaboration.
How do I move up to a mid level social media strategist role?
The path from entry level to mid level is built on taking deeper ownership over time. Focus on moving from executing assigned tasks to proposing and leading your own campaigns, developing platform expertise beyond scheduling, and demonstrating measurable results you can speak to specifically. Mentoring newer colleagues and contributing to strategy discussions, even informally, signals readiness for mid level responsibility.
Which industries hire the most mid level social media strategists?
Mid Level social media strategist roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they rely on consistent audience engagement, competitive brand differentiation, and content programs complex enough to require a strategist who can work independently.
