Scooter Software is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of high-quality software applications. The ideal candidate will have strong programming fundamentals, an interest in desktop software development, and the ability to solve complex technical challenges.
The selected candidate will help improve existing software products, develop new features, enhance application performance, and ensure compatibility across supported operating systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications.
- Write efficient, reliable, and maintainable code.
- Develop and improve desktop software functionality.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve software defects.
- Improve application performance and system reliability.
- Conduct software testing and debugging.
- Support Windows, macOS, and Linux compatibility.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Develop automated tests and software development tools.
- Collaborate with team members on product improvements.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of C++, C#, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Familiarity with Windows or cross-platform development.
- Experience with debugging and software testing.
- Understanding of Git and version control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
