- Defining and evaluating critical user benefits, business fit, and technical feasibility
What TOOLS you’ll bring with you
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product development, innovation, or concept engineering, with demonstrated ability to deliver innovative solutions.

- Experience creating and using prototypes, models, or other tools to drive learning and decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, e-loads, and data acquisition systems.
- Critical thinking skills that span disciplines to ensure the right ideas move forward.
- A curious, hands-on attitude driven by extreme ownership and bias toward action.

Front-End Engineer Jobs in Wisconsin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a front-end engineer in Wisconsin?
Front-end engineering has no state-issued license in Wisconsin, so the path runs through education and portfolio. Most Wisconsin employers look for a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, though associate degrees combined with a strong project portfolio are accepted at many companies. Completing a recognized coding bootcamp and contributing to open-source projects or personal applications are also concrete ways to establish credentials that Wisconsin hiring managers evaluate.
Which companies hire front-end engineers in Wisconsin?
Employers hiring front-end engineers in Wisconsin right now include Milwaukee Tool, Target, and Promega Corporation, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Wisconsin's concentration of financial services, healthcare IT, and insurance technology firms means front-end roles here often focus on data-dense dashboards, patient-facing portals, and high-availability transaction interfaces.
Which Wisconsin cities have the most front-end engineer jobs?
Milwaukee, Brookfield, and Madison account for the largest share of front-end engineer openings in Wisconsin. Milwaukee drives volume through its financial services and insurance headquarters, Madison is anchored by Epic Systems and a dense cluster of health-tech companies, and Green Bay's growing professional services sector adds consistent mid-market demand.
Are there remote front-end engineer jobs in Wisconsin?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 0% of front-end engineer openings tied to Wisconsin are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how naturally the role fits distributed teams. UI development, component library work, and accessibility auditing are the sub-areas most consistently offered as fully remote, while roles that involve close collaboration with embedded design or product teams tend toward hybrid arrangements.
How can I get hired as a front-end engineer in Wisconsin with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an associate or junior front-end role reached through a portfolio of deployed projects. Epic Systems in Verona and Fiserv in Milwaukee both run structured new-graduate hiring programs that consider candidates with limited professional experience when the portfolio is strong. Adjacent roles such as QA engineer, technical support specialist, or UI designer are common lateral entry points at Wisconsin employers. A demonstrated ability to build accessible, responsive interfaces using React and TypeScript gives early-career candidates a measurable edge in the state's market.
Where can I find and apply to front-end engineer jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate lists current front-end engineer openings in Wisconsin across Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, and beyond. Find the roles that fit your experience and apply directly through each listing.
