Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into clear technical specifications
- Own the product roadmap for data initiatives and prioritize features based on business impact
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, and analytics teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product positioning and feature prioritization
- Define and track KPIs and success metrics for data projects
- Facilitate communication between non-technical stakeholders and technical teams
- Conduct user research and incorporate feedback into product iterations
- Manage the product backlog and ensure user stories are well-documented and prioritized
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle
Workplace: This is a hybrid role, open to candidates based within a commutable distance to Dallas, TX area as occasional in office presence is required.
Must Have Skills:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner on data-focused projects
- Proven experience with data warehousing, analytics platforms, or data pipeline projects
- Strong understanding of data concepts (ETL, data modeling, analytics, reporting)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, SQL (basic understanding), and BI platforms
- Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or Product Management
Professional Skills:
- Solid English written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong team and individual player
- Maintains composure during all types of situations and is collaborative by nature
- High standards of professionalism, consistently producing high quality results
- Self-sufficient, independent requiring very little supervision or intervention
- Demonstrate flexibility and openness to bring creative solutions to address issues
