As a Lead Software Engineer on our team, you will drive the creation of next-generation enterprise platforms. You will lead a talented team of engineers to build, scale, and optimize innovative software solutions that directly impact the delivery of healthcare services. By using cutting-edge development methodologies and advanced AI-powered tools, you will accelerate development cycles and design intelligent systems. We are seeking a technical leader who is passionate about utilizing AI-driven solutions to streamline workflows, build robust software, and guide the strategic direction of our technology.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders and Technical Product Owners to support successful delivery of automation initiatives
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and solutions across clinical platform teams
- Lead automation engineers in building scalable, reliable, and efficient test automation solutions
- Provide technical leadership in automation strategy, scripting, framework development, and quality engineering best practices
- Own operational support for automation tools and test suites, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and issue resolution
- Use enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline development workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and drive continuous operational improvement
- Evaluate emerging trends in technology and artificial intelligence to inform solution design and drive strategic innovation across the team

Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 5+ years of quality engineering experience, including leadership of automation teams
- 5+ years of experience designing, building and scaling automation frameworks
- 5+ years of hands-on programming and technical skills in PostgreSQL, automation frameworks, JMeter, Playwright and Elasticsearch
- Proven ability to partner with business stakeholders and end users to translate requirements into automation solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the healthcare technology sector or other highly regulated industries
- Strong understanding of responsible AI principles, data governance, and enterprise security standards
- Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing AI assistants (e.g., automated code assistants, testing tools) to optimize developer productivity and velocity
- Proven excellent communication and collaboration skills with a track record of driving technical consensus across multiple teams

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 - $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
