Senior Level Solutions Director Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level solutions director job?
Employers hiring at the senior level look for candidates who have led complex solution deployments end-to-end, not just contributed to them. Demonstrating ownership of revenue outcomes, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to translate technical solutions into business value gives candidates a clear edge. A history of mentoring junior team members and influencing product or go-to-market strategy strengthens your candidacy further.
Which companies hire senior level solutions directors?
Companies hiring senior level solutions directors right now include JPMorganChase, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and BKF Engineers, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level tends to concentrate in large enterprises and high-growth technology and consulting firms that manage complex client portfolios and need experienced professionals to own solution delivery.
Are there remote senior level solutions director jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by industry and employer. About 36% of senior level solutions director openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting strong demand for experienced professionals who can lead client engagements and internal teams without being tied to a single office location. Client-facing roles may still require periodic travel regardless of home-base flexibility.
What makes a solutions director role senior level?
Senior level solutions director roles carry broader scope, deeper ownership, and greater accountability than mid-level positions. At this stage, you are expected to set solution direction for major accounts or product lines, own delivery outcomes, and mentor or lead other solutions professionals. The role shifts from executing a defined playbook to building and refining it, often with direct influence on revenue and client strategy.
Which industries hire the most senior level solutions directors?
Senior Level solutions director roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Investment & Asset Management, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they manage complex, high-value client relationships that require experienced professionals to oversee solution design, implementation, and long-term account outcomes.
