Entry Level Specialty Sales Representative Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level specialty sales representative job?
Employers at this level look for candidates who can demonstrate product knowledge, active listening, and the ability to manage a sales cycle from outreach to close. A completed internship in sales, a record of quota achievement in any setting, or coursework in business and marketing gives you a concrete edge. Tailoring your resume to each product category and preparing specific examples of persuasion or negotiation sharpens your application further.
Which companies hire entry level specialty sales representatives?
Companies hiring entry level specialty sales representatives right now include Bayer, Memorial Healthcare System, and Walgreens, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The mix typically includes medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, technology vendors, and consumer goods distributors that run structured onboarding programs designed specifically for candidates entering sales for the first time.
Are there remote entry level specialty sales representative jobs?
Yes, though most specialty sales roles at this level still involve in-person territory work. About 12% of entry level specialty sales representative openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates open to on-site or field-based positions will see the widest set of opportunities, particularly in healthcare and technology product lines.
Are these new grad specialty sales representative jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad and junior roles that explicitly welcome recent graduates and candidates with little or no prior experience. A new grad-friendly posting typically states that zero to two years of experience is acceptable, or it mentions that internship work, campus sales competitions, or a demonstrated portfolio of client interactions can substitute for a formal professional history.
Which industries hire the most entry level specialty sales representatives?
Entry Level specialty sales representative roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to drive entry level hiring because their products require technical explanation and relationship management, creating a steady need for candidates who can be trained on a specific product line from the ground up.
