Job Overview
We are currently seeking a qualified Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in community-based settings across San Antonio and Austin, Texas. This role involves providing comprehensive assessments, individualized treatment plans, and communication support to clients of all ages. The SLP will work closely with individuals experiencing communication and swallowing difficulties, delivering evidence-based services that enhance their quality of life. Additionally, the role emphasizes family and caregiver education to promote ongoing communication success beyond direct therapy sessions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
- Provide therapy for speech, language, voice, fluency, social communication, and cognitive-communication needs.
- Support augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), as applicable.
- Educate families and caregivers on strategies to reinforce progress.
- Maintain accurate evaluations, treatment notes, and progress reports.
- Follow professional ethics, documentation standards, and program requirements.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
- Active Texas SLP license required.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility, as applicable.
- Community-based, outpatient, or home-based experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, communication, and documentation skills.
- Reliable transportation for travel between service locations.
- CPR Certification
- ANE Competency Training
- Ability to manage a flexible schedule and meet contract expectations.
