Speech Pathologist Jobs in Phoenix: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a speech pathologist job in Phoenix?
Phoenix hiring concentrates in three sectors: hospital systems anchored around the central medical corridor, K-12 school districts throughout the East Valley and West Valley, and outpatient pediatric and rehabilitation clinics in Scottsdale and Tempe. Candidates who hold ASHA certification and have hands-on experience in augmentative communication or dysphagia tend to stand out. Targeting employer types like large health networks and charter school groups gives you the broadest entry points locally.
Which companies hire speech pathologists in Phoenix?
Companies currently hiring speech pathologists in Phoenix include Phoenix Children's, Therapy Tree, and tmc, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The Phoenix market blends large integrated health systems, regional rehabilitation groups, and public school districts, giving speech pathologists a wide range of clinical and educational settings to consider.
Are there remote speech pathologist jobs in Phoenix?
Yes, though remote availability is limited given how hands-on direct patient care is for most speech pathologists. About 11% of speech pathologist openings tied to Phoenix are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with teletherapy roles serving school districts and early intervention programs being the most common fully remote positions in the local market.
How can I get a speech pathologist job in Phoenix with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Phoenix is clinical fellowship positions offered through Banner Health, Valleywise Health, and regional outpatient pediatric clinics, which are structured to bring new graduates into supervised practice. School districts across the Chandler, Mesa, and Tempe elementary unified districts also hire clinical fellows during annual spring recruiting cycles. Highlighting any pediatric or hospital observation hours and bilingual Spanish skills significantly improves your standing with Phoenix employers.
Which industries hire the most speech pathologists in Phoenix?
Most speech pathologist openings in Phoenix sit in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Technology & Software, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Phoenix's rapid population growth and large retiree community have expanded acute care and outpatient rehabilitation demand, while the metro's expansive K-12 infrastructure keeps school-based roles consistently active throughout the year.
