Certified Nurse Aide Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a certified nurse aide in Arizona?
You become a certified nurse aide in Arizona by completing a state-approved CNA training program, then passing the Arizona CNA competency exam administered through Prometric on behalf of the Arizona State Board of Nursing. Programs are offered at community colleges, vocational schools, and some healthcare employers. After passing both the written and skills portions of the exam, you register with the Arizona State Board of Nursing to receive your CNA certification, which is required to work in the state.
Which companies hire certified nurse aides in Arizona?
Arizona certified nurse aide roles are posted by Addus HomeCare, Senior Resource, and BAYADA Home Health Care and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Arizona's large network of skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and integrated hospital systems makes it one of the more active states for consistent CNA hiring throughout the year.
Which Arizona cities have the most certified nurse aide jobs?
Mesa, Gilbert, and Phoenix have the most certified nurse aide openings in Arizona. Phoenix dominates the count given its size, population growth, and concentration of major health systems and senior living campuses, while Tucson and Mesa support strong secondary markets driven by regional hospital networks, university medical centers, and a large and growing older adult population.
How can I get hired as a certified nurse aide in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is completing an Arizona State Board of Nursing-approved CNA training program, which many Arizona employers such as Banner Health and Dignity Health offer at low or no cost in exchange for a work commitment after certification. Look for new hire orientations, nurse aide apprenticeships, or caregiver-to-CNA bridge programs at assisted living communities and skilled nursing facilities in Phoenix and Tucson. Candidates with experience as a home health aide, patient care technician, or hospital unit secretary have a clear advantage and often transition into CNA roles without starting from scratch.
Where can I find and apply to certified nurse aide jobs in Arizona?
You can find and apply to certified nurse aide jobs in Arizona on Migrate Mate, which lists current Arizona openings from employers across the state. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience, location, and schedule, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
