Position Description – Neuro/Ortho Brain Concussion Specialist
- Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of acute and chronic concussion, post-concussive syndrome, neuro-trauma symptoms, and musculoskeletal or vestibular sequelae linked to head injury.
- Lead and expand a multidisciplinary concussion program supported by neuropsychology, neuroradiology, vestibular therapy, orthopedics, sports medicine, PM&R, and headache specialists.
- Access to advanced diagnostics and integrated care pathways, including:
?– 3T MRI with neuro-trauma and functional imaging
?– Neuropsychological and cognitive testing
?– Vestibular and concussion rehabilitation teams
?– Headache/migraine specialists
?– Spine, pain management, and musculoskeletal experts
?– Complex neuro-diagnostics (EEG, EMG, autonomic testing) - Develop and standardize concussion protocols across EDs, urgent care, sports medicine, primary care, and neurology networks.
- Provide outreach to schools, athletic organizations, and community partners, supporting safe return-to-play and return-to-learn guidelines.
