What You'll Do
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will:
Evaluate children's speech, language, communication, and related developmental needs.
Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
Provide engaging therapy that helps children build functional communication skills.
Monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies based on each child's needs.
Complete clinical documentation and reports accurately and within required timeframes.
Collaborate with families, educators, therapists, nurses, and other members of the treatment team.
Educate and support families as they help their children practice new skills.
Celebrate meaningful milestones and help children gain greater confidence and independence.
Qualifications
Education and Certification
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
Current Arkansas Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain the appropriate Arkansas license.
Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to complete a Clinical Fellowship Year.
Experience
One year of experience in a similar position is preferred.
New graduates and Clinical Fellowship candidates are encouraged to apply.
An equivalent combination of education and applicable clinical experience may be considered.
