Staff Accountant Jobs in Denver: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a staff accountant job in Denver?
Focus your search on Denver's most active hiring sectors: healthcare systems, oil and gas firms, commercial real estate companies, and financial services. The Denver Tech Center and Lower Downtown hold the highest concentration of openings. Candidates with experience in multi-entity accounting, fund reporting, or revenue cycle work stand out locally. Tailoring your resume to the sector rather than applying broadly gives you a measurable edge in this market.
Which companies hire staff accountants in Denver?
Employers hiring staff accountants in Denver right now include Marvin, SPS Health, and INEOS, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Denver's mix of large regional employers, energy independents, and fast-growing professional services firms creates consistent demand for staff-level accounting talent throughout the year.
Are there remote staff accountant jobs in Denver?
Yes, though availability depends on the role. Staff accountant positions involving physical document handling, on-site audit support, or in-person close cycles are rarely fully remote. About 87% of staff accountant openings tied to Denver are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common among Denver's financial services and technology sector employers.
How can I get a staff accountant job in Denver with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Denver is through an internship or contract-to-hire role with a mid-size regional firm, a Denver-area healthcare system, or a property management company, all of which regularly hire junior accounting staff. Roles titled accounts payable specialist or junior staff accountant are common stepping stones. Candidates who have completed even one busy-season internship with a Denver public accounting firm move into full-time roles quickly.
Which industries hire the most staff accountants in Denver?
Most staff accountant openings in Denver sit in Manufacturing, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Denver's role as a regional hub for energy companies, healthcare networks, and commercial real estate investment firms drives sustained demand for accounting professionals at the staff level year-round.
