JOB DETAILS
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with 2–3 years of accounting experience and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. This individual will support the day-to-day accounting operations by managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, account reconciliations, and assisting with the month-end close process. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, cash applications, and collections follow-up
- Prepare and post daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger accounts
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
- Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and GAAP
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and other accounting projects as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 2–3 years of accounting experience
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with an ERP system such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience assisting with month-end close
- Exposure to financial statement preparation
