ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Staff Accountant / Senior Billing Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Accounts Receivable function and ensuring all related activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with Omni Hotels & Resorts standards and established policies. This position provides leadership and support to the Accounts Receivable team while assisting with various accounting functions as needed. The role reports directly to the Assistant Director of Finance/Finance Controller and works closely with department leaders to ensure the integrity of financial processes and timely collection of receivables.

Essential Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all Accounts Receivable activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
• Collaborate with department leaders regarding billing matters, chargebacks, banquet check reviews, account adjustments, and other Accounts Receivable-related processes.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Support corporate audit initiatives by providing requested Accounts Receivable documentation, records, and related information.
• Investigate, reconcile, and resolve Accounts Receivable discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure all Accounts Receivable responsibilities are completed within established deadlines.
• Supervise and support the Accounts Receivable team, including oversight of billing processes, payment collections, advance deposits, and team training and development.
• Attend Pre-Convention (Pre-Con) meetings, facilitate credit meetings, and participate in other meetings related to Accounts Receivable operations.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and related financial reporting requirements.
• Provide support across other accounting functions as needed, including Villa Owner Billing, Income Audit, account reconciliations, and special projects.
• Promote effective communication and collaboration among departments to support operational and financial objectives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous Accounts Receivable experience within the hospitality industry required.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize responsibilities, manage multiple tasks, and consistently meet deadlines.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.
• Professional appearance, demeanor, and work ethic consistent with company standards.
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
