Staff Accountant Jobs in Miami: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a staff accountant job in Miami?
Focus your search on Brickell and Coral Gables, where financial services firms, multinational corporations, and professional services companies concentrate most of their accounting headcount. Doral is a strong secondary market thanks to its density of logistics and import-export businesses. Candidates with bilingual Spanish-English skills and exposure to multi-entity or international consolidations have a clear edge in Miami's market over those with purely domestic experience.
Which companies hire staff accountants in Miami?
Employers hiring staff accountants in Miami right now include Highgate, FOH, and BLOSSOM, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Miami's hiring base skews toward regional bank branches, global real estate developers, healthcare networks, and the Latin American headquarters of multinational companies.
Are there remote staff accountant jobs in Miami?
Yes, though staff accountant roles that involve physical invoice processing, inventory counts, or on-site collaboration remain predominantly in-person. About 86% of staff accountant openings tied to Miami are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with remote arrangements most common at technology firms and companies with distributed accounting teams. General ledger, reconciliation, and reporting tasks are the functions most likely to be performed off-site.
How can I get a staff accountant job in Miami with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Miami is through accounting internships or bookkeeper roles at the city's many mid-size real estate developers, hospitality groups, and import-export companies in Doral, which tend to hire junior candidates more readily than large financial institutions. Earning your CPA exam eligibility from a Florida-accredited program and getting comfortable with QuickBooks or NetSuite are the credentials Miami hiring managers mention most often for entry-level applicants.
