Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding STEM OPT Authorization in Cloud Solutions Architect
Verify your CIP code before applying
Check your degree's Classification of Instructional Programs code against the DHS STEM Designated Degree Program List. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Information Systems degrees typically qualify, but your DSO confirms the match before you file.
Filter job listings by E-Verify status
Use Migrate Mate to search Cloud Solutions Architect roles filtered to E-Verify-enrolled employers. You can confirm any employer's enrollment independently through the E-Verify employer search tool before you apply.
Target cloud-heavy infrastructure teams specifically
Cloud Solutions Architect roles at companies running AWS, Azure, or GCP workloads are more likely to have active STEM OPT hiring pipelines. Check DOL LCA disclosure data by SOC code 15-1299 to identify employers with recent filings for this occupation.
Build your I-983 training plan around cloud deliverables
Your I-983 must name specific learning objectives tied to your STEM degree. For Cloud Solutions Architect roles, map deliverables like cloud migration projects or architecture reviews to your degree's engineering or computer science competencies.
Use O*NET to align your resume to the role
Pull the Cloud Solutions Architect occupation profile from O*NET and match your resume's skills and degree background to the listed knowledge areas. Employers and DSOs both reference O*NET when evaluating whether a role qualifies for STEM OPT.

Find Cloud Solutions Architect JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does a Cloud Solutions Architect role qualify for the STEM OPT extension?
Yes, if your degree is in a STEM field on the DHS Designated Degree Program List and the role aligns with that field. Cloud Solutions Architect positions typically fall under SOC code 15-1299 and involve applying engineering or computer science knowledge directly. Your DSO reviews the fit between the role and your degree before approving the I-983 training plan.
How do I confirm my employer is enrolled in E-Verify?
E-Verify enrollment is a hard requirement for STEM OPT employers, not optional. You can check any employer's enrollment status through the E-Verify employer search tool before accepting an offer. If the employer isn't enrolled, they must register before USCIS will approve your STEM OPT extension, so confirm this early in the offer process.
What should my I-983 training plan include for a Cloud Solutions Architect position?
Your I-983 must connect your day-to-day work to the learning goals of your STEM degree. For this role, that means listing concrete deliverables like cloud architecture design, infrastructure automation, or cost optimization projects and mapping each to a competency from your degree program. Generic job descriptions won't satisfy USCIS requirements.
What happens to my STEM OPT if my employer loses E-Verify enrollment?
If your employer's E-Verify enrollment lapses after your STEM OPT extension is approved, your authorization is at risk. USCIS requires continuous E-Verify enrollment throughout the extension period. You should report the change to your DSO immediately, and you may need to find a new qualifying employer to maintain valid status.
Where can I find Cloud Solutions Architect jobs that sponsor STEM OPT students?
Migrate Mate filters Cloud Solutions Architect listings to employers who are enrolled in E-Verify and have a documented history of sponsoring international candidates. Searching there saves you from applying to roles where the employer can't legally support your STEM OPT extension, which is one of the most common points of failure in the job search.
