BI Developer

The BI Developer partners with clinical and business stakeholders to translate reporting needs into accurate, actionable analytics. This role designs, develops, and supports reports and dashboards using Epic reporting tools and enterprise analytics platforms, manages multiple projects, supports upgrades and testing, and contributes to training while delivering excellent customer service in a healthcare environment.
Key Skills: Epic Reporting (Clarity, SlicerDicer, Radar, Workbench), SQL, Tableau, relational databases and data warehouses, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, data visualization and dashboards, healthcare analytics, clinical workflows, system upgrades, testing, and stakeholder collaboration.
Position Responsibilities
- Meets with report consumers to understand their reporting needs and is able to translate into meaningful and accurate reports
- Provides input into test scripts for new updates/upgrades
- Performs upgrade with vendor assistance
- Demonstrates ability to manage multiple projects along with day-to-day work
- Utilizes system knowledge and available resources to address routine issues
- Prepares and presents substantial portions at meetings
- Highly proficient with SQL or Oracle, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, and relational databases. Highly proficient with SQL, Epic reporting tools (SlicerDicer, WorkBench and Radar), Tableau, and relational databases.
- Reviews and provides input into development of downtime processes for assigned areas
- Reviews and provides input to training content; able to assist with training sessions
