Business Expertise & Cross-Functional Engagement
- Build deep expertise in the US Intermediary business, maintaining continuous engagement across sales, marketing, operations, and IT to stay current on business objectives, market dynamics, product developments, and evolving data capabilities.
- Leverage intermediary sales feedback to refine data sets and advance AI-enabled solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred 3 - 5 years of experience supporting asset management or financial services distribution, ideally within US Intermediary, wealth management, or advisor-focused sales channels.
- Ability to think and communicate like a distribution professional—connecting insights directly to how intermediary sales teams prioritize, position products, and drive growth.
- Knowledge of investment products, including Mutual Funds, Separately Managed Accounts, ETFs, Alternative Investments, and other specialty solutions.
- Required: Practical, hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to drive productivity, enhance analytical output, and deliver business impact.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex insights into clear, actionable messaging for stakeholders across all levels, including intermediary sales teams.
- Proficiency in standard analytical and reporting tools: including Excel and PowerPoint, with experience leveraging data visualization and reporting platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL, or similar) to produce executive-ready insights.
- Experience with CRM systems is preferred (SalesForce).
- Demonstrated experience operating at a Senior Associate level, with the ability to independently own analyses, manage deliverables end-to-end, and provide informed recommendations to managers and senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and quantitative expertise, with experience interpreting large, complex sales and market data sets to uncover trends, opportunities, and actionable insights.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively across levels, from sales partners to senior management. Experience in telling compelling stories with data, translating month-over-month changes, performance trends, and advisor behavior into clear, executive-ready narratives.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding STEM OPT Authorization as an Implementation Engineer
Verify your degree CIP code eligibility
Cross-reference your degree against the official STEM OPT CIP code list before applying. Computer science, information systems, and engineering degrees typically qualify, but your DSO confirms the exact match on your updated I-20.
Check E-Verify enrollment before accepting offers
Your employer must be actively enrolled in E-Verify for your STEM OPT extension to be valid. Search the E-Verify employer search tool by company name before signing anything, enrollment status can change and a lapsed account disqualifies the extension.
Align your I-983 training plan to the role
Implementation Engineers work across deployment, integration, and client onboarding. Your I-983 must detail specific learning objectives tied to those functions, not generic IT descriptions. Vague training plans are the most common reason DSOs push back on STEM OPT filings.
Target companies with active H-1B filing history
Use Migrate Mate to filter Implementation Engineer roles by employers who have filed H-1B petitions, so your STEM OPT runway leads directly toward a viable sponsorship path rather than a dead end at the 36-month limit.
File the STEM OPT extension 90 days early
USCIS requires your extension application to be filed no earlier than 90 days before your initial OPT expires. Submit with your DSO's I-20 endorsement and Form I-765 well inside that window to avoid a gap in your EAD.
Address the cap-gap window in your offer timing
If your employer files an H-1B petition before your STEM OPT expires and you're not selected, cap-gap protection extends your authorization through September 30 of that fiscal year. Confirm your offer start date accounts for that transition.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Implementation Engineer role qualify for the STEM OPT extension?
Yes, if your degree maps to an approved STEM CIP code and the role involves engineering, systems integration, or computer science functions. Implementation Engineer positions that require deploying, configuring, and supporting technical platforms typically satisfy the practical training requirement. Your DSO reviews the job description against your I-20 program to confirm eligibility before endorsing the extension.
How do I confirm my employer is enrolled in E-Verify?
You can search the E-Verify employer search tool by company name or employer identification number before accepting an offer. Active enrollment is a legal requirement for STEM OPT, if your employer's account is inactive or they haven't enrolled, your extension application will be denied regardless of your degree or role qualifications. Verify enrollment status, not just intent to enroll.
What should my I-983 training plan include for an Implementation Engineer role?
Your I-983 must list specific technical and professional goals tied to your day-to-day work, such as system deployment methodologies, API integration processes, client onboarding workflows, and cross-functional coordination skills. Generic language like 'gaining work experience in IT' is insufficient. Both you and your employer's supervisor must sign the plan, and it must be updated every six months or when the role changes materially.
How does cap-gap work if my H-1B isn't selected during STEM OPT?
If your employer files an H-1B petition before your STEM OPT EAD expires and USCIS receives it by the April filing deadline, cap-gap automatically extends your work authorization through September 30 even if you aren't selected. If you aren't selected in the lottery, your STEM OPT authorization resumes until its original end date. USCIS provides updated cap-gap guidance each fiscal year.
Where can I find Implementation Engineer jobs with E-Verify employers who sponsor visas?
Migrate Mate filters Implementation Engineer roles specifically for employers enrolled in E-Verify with documented H-1B filing history, so you're not guessing at sponsorship willingness. Applying through a platform built for OPT and STEM OPT students means every listed employer already meets the baseline requirements your extension depends on.
