Strategic Business Development Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a strategic business development job in Atlanta?
Atlanta's strongest hiring for strategic business development sits in technology, logistics, financial services, and healthcare, with many roles based in Midtown and Buckhead. Candidates who can demonstrate revenue impact, existing relationships in the Southeast market, and familiarity with Atlanta's startup and enterprise ecosystem stand out. Targeting growth-stage companies in the Ponce City Market and Tech Square corridors also opens doors that large-company pipelines often don't.
Which companies hire strategic business developments in Atlanta?
Companies currently hiring strategic business developments in Atlanta include Intuit, Workday, and HDR, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters, regional logistics giants, and a dense fintech and healthtech startup community means demand comes from both large enterprises and high-growth challengers.
Are there remote strategic business development jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, though availability depends on the role. Strategic business development work that involves active client acquisition, partnership negotiation, or in-person relationship management tends to be on-site or hybrid. About 46% of strategic business development openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with the most remote-friendly positions typically concentrated in SaaS, consulting, and corporate development functions.
How can I get a strategic business development job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Atlanta is through business development representative or sales development roles at technology companies in Tech Square or Midtown, which regularly hire candidates without direct BD titles. Atlanta's sizable university presence, through institutions like Georgia Tech and Emory, also feeds internship-to-full-time pipelines at local enterprises. Building familiarity with the Southeast logistics or healthtech ecosystem gives entry-level candidates a concrete, Atlanta-specific edge over generalist applicants.
Which industries hire the most strategic business developments in Atlanta?
Most strategic business development openings in Atlanta sit in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Manufacturing, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's role as a logistics hub, a growing fintech center, and a major healthcare IT market means these sectors consistently generate the highest volume of strategic business development demand in the city.
