Strategic Business Development Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategic business development in Georgia?
Most strategic business development roles in Georgia require a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related discipline, though many employers value an MBA for senior positions. Georgia does not mandate a state-issued license for this role. Candidates typically build their path through inside sales or account management positions, accumulate a portfolio of closed partnerships or growth initiatives, and pursue credentials such as the Certified Business Development Professional to strengthen their candidacy with Georgia employers.
Which companies hire strategic business developments in Georgia?
Employers hiring strategic business developments in Georgia right now include Global Payments, Tenthpin, and McGuireWoods LLP, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and Southeast regional offices, particularly in the Atlanta metro, means many of these employers are looking for candidates who can develop partnerships and drive growth across multiple industries including technology, logistics, and healthcare.
Which Georgia cities have the most strategic business development jobs?
The cities with the most strategic business development openings in Georgia are Atlanta and Sandy Springs. Atlanta dominates due to its dense cluster of corporate headquarters and regional offices in technology, financial services, and logistics, while Savannah's expanding port economy and Augusta's healthcare and cybersecurity sectors generate consistent demand for strategic development professionals outside the capital metro.
Are there remote strategic business development jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields. Strategic business development work is largely relationship-driven and desk-based, making it well-suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 100% of strategic business development openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly distributed this role has become since companies normalized virtual selling and partnership management. Market research, pipeline development, and internal strategy work are the functions most commonly performed fully remote.
How can I get hired as a strategic business development in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a business development representative or inside sales associate role, which Georgia employers including Atlanta-based technology firms and logistics companies regularly post as stepping stones. Large Georgia employers such as NCR Voyix and Honeywell run rotational business programs that welcome recent graduates from Georgia State University, the University of Georgia, and Georgia Tech. Completing a Google Career Certificate in project management or earning a HubSpot sales certification adds measurable credibility to a thin resume.
Where can I find and apply to strategic business development jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to strategic business development jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings updated regularly. Search the listings to identify roles that match your experience level, preferred location, and target industry, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
