Sales Agent Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales agent in Georgia?
Most sales agent roles in Georgia require a state-issued license, particularly in insurance, where candidates must pass a licensing exam and apply through the Georgia Office of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner before selling any policy. Real estate sales agents must complete pre-licensing coursework and pass the Georgia Real Estate Commission exam. For technology or general B2B sales, no state license is required, and employers typically look for a bachelor's degree or demonstrated sales experience.
Which companies hire sales agents in Georgia?
Companies currently hiring sales agents in Georgia include Sanders Real Estate, Bolst Real Estate, and Humana, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of insurance carriers, SaaS companies, and large logistics and media firms headquartered in the Atlanta metro means consistent demand across both field and inside sales roles statewide.
Which Georgia cities have the most sales agent jobs?
Atlanta, Marietta, and Georgia have the most sales agent openings in Georgia. Atlanta's role as the state's corporate and financial hub drives the majority of listings, while Savannah's growing logistics and port-related commerce supports territory and B2B sales roles, and Augusta's healthcare and defense sectors generate steady insurance and medical sales demand.
Are there remote sales agent jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields, particularly for inside sales, SaaS account management, and insurance sales roles that operate by phone and video rather than in-person visits. About 73% of sales agent openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the role's strong fit with distributed work. Field-based territory roles and commercial real estate positions remain largely on-site or require regular in-person client meetings.
How can I get hired as a sales agent in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through insurance sales, where Georgia carriers like State Farm and Allstate run structured associate programs that provide licensing support and paid training for candidates without prior sales experience. Retail banking and financial services firms in Atlanta also hire entry-level relationship bankers who transition into licensed sales roles within one to two years. Earning a Georgia Property and Casualty or Life and Health license before applying significantly strengthens any application, even without a sales background.
Where can I find and apply to sales agent jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to sales agent jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings across insurance, technology, real estate, and B2B sales. Search the listings for roles that match your experience and location, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
