Chronosphere reduces data volumes and associated costs by 84% on average while saving developers thousands of hours. Recognized as a leader by major analyst firms, Chronosphere is trusted by the world's most innovative brands, including DoorDash, Affirm, and Zillow.
About the role:
We are looking for a product manager to join the team building out enterprise-grade identity and access management (IAM) product, integrations, and workflows. You’ll operate with one foot in the factory and one foot in the field, bridging between our customers and our engineering team. You’ll translate the IAM needs of enterprise businesses across the Chronosphere observability platform, focusing on a wide range of areas including authentication, fine-grained access control, and access management. You must be comfortable with a deeply technical product that serves a deeply technical audience.
Qualifications
You will:
- Perform primary research, interviewing end-users and buyers to deeply understand the IAM needs of traditional enterprises.
- Partner with engineers and technical stakeholders to articulate, scope, and deliver well integrated IAM products and workflows.
- Track the stability and reliability of your product with an eye towards enterprise-grade performance.
- Set KPIs to articulate and measure intended value and impact for customers.
- Develop comprehensive roadmaps and deliverable plans to achieve stated outcomes for customers and the business.
- Communicate priorities and the roadmap, and align the team around them.
- Manage the backlog, groom stories, and break down tasks.
- Partner across teams to ensure cohesive features and workflows across the platform.
- Coordinate with product marketing on positioning and messaging.
- Drive clarity.
What you will achieve:
In your first 30 days, you’ll dive deep into the market and user base and in-flight development projects. You’ll meet our existing customers, ride along on end-user interviews, and observe stand-ups and other sprint ceremonies. You’ll take on a project as product owner. You’ll spend most of your time on delivery and validation, generating buildable projects for the short-term future.
Within three months, as we charter new projects, you’ll be the product owner from the beginning. You will drive your own research and set KPIs for your area. You’ll seek the input that you need to make highly informed decisions. The team will look to you as the authority on the customers and the feature set.
You have:
- 8+ years of experience as a product manager, with experience working on an enterprise software product.
- 5+ years working with Identity & Access Management products and platforms.
- Strong understanding of authentication, identity, authorization, SSO standards and protocols.
- Hands-on experience with the major protocols and identity providers: AWS, Azure, Google, Okta, and Active Directory for on-premise.
- A track record of delivering software with agile processes and tight feedback loops.
- Experience in building and operating software as a service.
- An obsession with getting the little details right.
- No fear of diving deep into the world of cloud native monitoring: Docker, Kubernetes, and Prometheus.

Strategic Business Development Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategic business development in Texas?
Strategic business development roles in Texas do not require a state-issued license. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field, and many senior roles prefer an MBA from a Texas institution such as UT Austin McCombs or Rice Jones. Entry-level candidates typically start in inside sales, account management, or market research roles before moving into dedicated business development positions at Texas-based firms.
Which companies hire strategic business developments in Texas?
Employers hiring strategic business developments in Texas right now include Alvarez & Marsal, Amazon, and HP, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, energy companies, and fast-growing technology firms in the Austin corridor creates consistent demand for this role across multiple industries.
Which Texas cities have the most strategic business development jobs?
Austin, Dallas, and Houston are the Texas cities with the most strategic business development openings. Houston's dominance in energy and healthcare services drives a large share of the volume, while Dallas anchors demand through its concentration of corporate headquarters and financial services firms, and Austin's technology sector pulls significant hiring from SaaS and venture-backed companies.
Are there remote strategic business development jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields, because strategic business development work centers on strategy, communication, and relationship management that translates well to remote settings. About 28% of strategic business development openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting broader adoption across the tech and professional services sectors. Partnership development and market analysis work tends to be the most remote-friendly, while enterprise sales roles tied to specific Texas territories typically require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a strategic business development in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a sales development representative or market research analyst role at a Texas-based technology or professional services firm, where you build pipeline skills before moving into a dedicated business development title. Large Texas employers such as Dell Technologies and Oracle run structured associate and rotational programs that place new graduates into go-to-market functions. Building a portfolio of competitive market analyses or partnership proposals, and earning a Salesforce certification, strengthens a candidate's profile considerably when experience is limited.
Where can I find and apply to strategic business development jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to strategic business development jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings across industries and experience levels. Find the roles that fit your background and apply directly through the listings.
