About Kerix
Kerix is a healthcare organization focused exclusively on membership-based medicine. We believe healthcare should be personal, accessible, and proactive—and that stronger relationships between clinicians and patients lead to better care and better outcomes.
Kerix operates through two divisions:
KerixHealth owns and operates Direct Primary Care clinics across the country, providing patients with more time with their care teams, convenient access, and a proactive approach to their health. Our organization includes KerixHealth and AdvocateMD.
Specialdocs Consultants helps physicians transition from traditional fee-for-service medicine to concierge medicine, creating more sustainable and relationship-centered practices.
Across our organization, we are united by a shared mission: to restore healthcare by putting people back at the center of care. Our model emphasizes same- or next-day appointments, longer and more meaningful visits, direct access to care teams, preventive care, transparent pricing, and coordination throughout the healthcare journey.
Kerix is headquartered in Austin, Texas, with teams and practices located across the country. Learn more at Kerix.com.
About Us
Kerix is a fast-growing healthcare services business based in Austin, TX, backed by private equity firm Shore Capital Partners. We operate two divisions: KerixHealth, a membership-based advanced primary care platform with owned-and-operated locations across 8 states, and Specialdocs Consultants, a consulting business that helps independent physicians convert to a membership model and grow their practices. As we scale through de novo clinic openings and acquisitions, we are building the corporate infrastructure to match our ambitions. This role is central to that build.
Position Summary
The VP of Strategic Finance will own financial underwriting and EBITDA accountability across growth initiatives at Kerix, including M&A, existing clinic growth tactics, and de novo market expansion. This person will build and own the financial models behind our de novo and M&A decisions, and drive accountability across departments to measurable EBITDA outcomes.
This role reports directly to the CFO & COO and has high visibility across the organization, including regular exposure to the executive team and Board of Directors. If you have a Corporate Development or strategic finance background, technical skills for rigorous underwriting, bias for action, and the credibility to work with other departmental leaders, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
De Novo & M&A Underwriting
- Build and own de novo market expansion business cases, including market sizing, unit economics, and payback modeling.
- Lead financial modeling and support diligence for M&A transactions, from LOI through close.
- Review and challenge growth assumptions company-wide, across both KerixHealth and Specialdocs.
- Support post-close integration planning with financial tracking against the original underwriting case.
Growth Accountability
- Drive marketing accountability, including LTV to CAC, campaign ROI, and pipeline attribution methodology, in conjunction with the marketing team.
- Partner with, and constructively challenge, growth spend allocation, without owning campaign strategy, brand direction, or agency management.
- Develop and maintain a defensible pipeline attribution methodology by division and by channel.
- Standardize growth underwriting rigor across both divisions, so initiatives are evaluated on a consistent basis.
Reporting & Board Support
- Report findings and recommendations directly to the CFO & COO and the rest of the executive team on a regular cadence.
- Partner with the CFO & COO on the monthly management model, Kerix’s rolling forecast, owning the growth-related inputs and assumptions and ensuring they reconcile against actual growth levers.
- Support board-level growth narrative, materials, and the impact-effort prioritization process.
- Track interim metrics for key growth initiatives and flag risks or slippage early.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5–10 years of experience in Corporate Development, strategic finance, investment banking, or private equity with an in-house transition; healthcare services experience a strong plus.
- Demonstrated experience building financial models for M&A, market expansion, or growth investment decisions.
- Comfortable holding other teams accountable to growth through data and metrics, without needing to run that function directly; prior experience doing so is a meaningful advantage.
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills; comfort with regression or data-driven qualification logic a plus.
- High ownership and rigor; able to operate independently in a lean, fast-scaling, PE-backed environment with direct board exposure.
- Strong communication skills; able to translate financial analysis for operators and drive growth accountability.
Why Join Kerix?
- Build something: shape how Kerix underwrites and measures every growth dollar it spends, with direct access to the CFO & COO and the board.
- Scale with the company: Kerix is actively expanding through de novo clinic openings and acquisitions, and this role grows in scope as the platform grows.
- PE-backed resources: access to the Shore Capital Partners' network, including best practices and a community of finance and growth leaders across the portfolio.
- Meaningful work: healthcare services with real patient impact, backed by a team serious about clinical care, operational excellence, and disciplined growth.
- Competitive compensation and benefits package commensurate with experience

Strategic Finance Analyst Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategic finance analyst in Texas?
Most Texas employers require a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a closely related field as the starting point. Strategic finance analyst is not a state-licensed role in Texas, so there is no Texas-specific board exam or registration. The most competitive candidates hold or are pursuing the CFA charter and gain early experience through corporate FP&A, investment banking, or management consulting roles at Texas-headquartered companies.
How much do strategic finance analysts make in Texas?
Strategic finance analysts in Texas earn a median of about $99,150 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $63,230 for the lowest 10% to over $169,990 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire strategic finance analysts in Texas?
Employers hiring strategic finance analysts in Texas right now include Oscar Health, HP, and CEMEX, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters in Houston and Dallas means large corporate finance teams are consistently recruiting across energy, technology, retail, and financial services.
Which Texas cities have the most strategic finance analyst jobs?
Austin, Dallas, and Houston have the most strategic finance analyst openings in Texas. Houston's dominance in energy and healthcare drives substantial corporate finance demand, Dallas is the headquarters hub for retail, financial services, and telecom, and Austin's fast-growing technology sector has created a strong pipeline of strategic finance roles at both large companies and funded startups.
Are there remote strategic finance analyst jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. Strategic finance analyst is a desk-based analytical role, which makes it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 67% of strategic finance analyst openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and the work most commonly done off-site includes financial modeling, long-range planning, and board presentation preparation rather than day-to-day leadership or cross-functional collaboration.
How can I get hired as a strategic finance analyst in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a rotational finance development program at a large Texas employer. Companies such as ExxonMobil, AT&T, and Texas Instruments run structured analyst rotational programs that move early-career candidates through FP&A, treasury, and strategic planning. Candidates who start in adjacent roles such as financial analyst, budget analyst, or accounting associate at Texas-based firms frequently move into strategic finance within two to three rotations. Passing the first two CFA levels early signals commitment and separates new entrants in a competitive Texas market.
Where can I find and apply to strategic finance analyst jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to strategic finance analyst jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings across Houston, Dallas, Austin, and other markets. Find the roles that fit your background and apply directly to the ones that interest you.
