Job Summary
Advance Auto Parts is seeking a high performing candidate to join our Supply Chain Strategy & Ops team. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role responsible for driving analytical insights, strategic initiatives, and transformational change across our end-to-end supply chain.
This role is ideal for a self-driven problem solver who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys breaking down complex business problems, excels at pulling together rigorous analytics and is motivated by measurable business impact. You will work closely with supply chain leadership and cross-functional partners to shape strategy, develop scalable solutions, and enable data-driven decision making that improves performance today while building the supply chain capabilities of the future.
The Senior Supply Chain Analyst will play a critical role in turning data into insight, insight into strategy, and strategy into execution.
What Will You Do?
Strategy & Transformation
Support the development and execution of multi-year supply chain strategies aligned to enterprise objectives.
Identify high-impact opportunities across network design, replenishment, transportation, and fulfillment to improve cost, service, and working capital.
Translate broad strategic objectives into structured analyses, actionable recommendations, and executable roadmaps.
Partner with Supply Chain Transformation leaders to design, prototype, test, and scale new processes, tools, capabilities, and decision frameworks.
Analytical Problem Solving & Business Impact
Tackle open-ended and ambiguous supply chain problems using a structured, hypothesis-driven approach.
Independently define problem statements, determine appropriate analyses, and work through incomplete or imperfect data.
Build advanced analytical models to quantify opportunities, tradeoffs, and risks.
Measure impact, track results, and continuously refine recommendations based on performance.
Advanced Data, Analytics, and Insights
Leverage large, complex data sets to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities across the supply chain.
Apply strong SQL skills and advanced analytics to extract, transform, and analyze data across multiple systems.
Develop scalable analytical tools, dashboards, and models to support ongoing decision-making.
Collaborate with data, IT, and analytics teams to improve data quality, accessibility, and analytical capabilities.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Influence
Partner closely with Supply Chain, Inventory, Merchandising, Finance, Technology, and Store Operations teams.
Communicate insights clearly and effectively to audiences ranging from analysts to senior leaders.
Explain not just what the data says, but why it matters and how it should influence decisions.
Influence without authority by building trust, credibility, and strong business understanding.
What Makes You Successful in This Role?
You are energized by complex, ambiguous problems and comfortable operating without a predefined playbook.
You are deeply analytical, but always focused on real-world business outcomes, not just analysis.
You balance strategic thinking with a hands-on, execution-oriented mindset.
You are curious, proactive, and driven to make things better—even when the path forward is not obvious or challenging.
You can move seamlessly between data, strategy, and stakeholder communication.
