Mid Level Operations Excellence Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level operations excellence manager job?
Position yourself around ownership, not just participation. Highlight specific projects where you led process improvements, reduced waste, or improved throughput, and quantify the impact wherever possible. Tailor your resume to show you can operate independently, influence stakeholders without authority, and apply frameworks like Lean or Six Sigma to real problems. Certifications such as a Green Belt strengthen your candidacy at this level.
Which companies hire mid level operations excellence managers?
Companies hiring mid level operations excellence managers right now include Thermo Fisher Scientific, Ingersoll-Rand, and Oscar Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from mid-size and enterprise organizations running formal continuous improvement programs, often in manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, and financial services.
Are there remote mid level operations excellence manager jobs?
Yes, though many roles retain an on-site or hybrid component given the floor-level and cross-departmental nature of the work. About 30% of mid level operations excellence manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically focus on process design, data analysis, and change management rather than direct production oversight.
How do I move up to a mid level operations excellence manager role?
The path from entry level centers on building demonstrated ownership over time. Early-career operations professionals advance by deepening their command of continuous improvement methodologies, earning credentials like a Lean Green Belt, and moving from supporting projects to leading them. Consistent, measurable results in reducing defects, cycle times, or costs, combined with growing influence across teams, signal readiness for mid level responsibility.
