Mid Level Production Control Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level production control manager job?
Position your experience around ownership, not just task completion. Highlight specific production schedules you built, inventory discrepancies you resolved, or cross-department coordination you led. Tailor your resume to show measurable outcomes, such as reduced lead times or improved on-time delivery rates. Mid level roles go to candidates who demonstrate they can manage complexity independently, so concrete examples of decision-making under pressure carry significant weight in applications.
Which companies hire mid level production control managers?
Companies hiring mid level production control managers right now include Tesla, Southern States, and WSP, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from manufacturers, defense contractors, and industrial distributors that run high-volume operations and need professionals who can manage schedules and material flow without constant supervision.
Are there remote mid level production control manager jobs?
Yes, though most roles at this level still involve some on-site presence. About 0% of mid level production control manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how some planning and coordination functions can move off the floor while physical oversight requirements keep others facility-based. Hybrid arrangements are the most common flexible option at this experience level.
How do I move up to a mid level production control manager role?
The path from entry level to mid level runs through demonstrated ownership of progressively complex tasks. Build proficiency in ERP systems and production scheduling tools, then seek out opportunities to lead a planning cycle or manage a product line independently. Employers look for professionals who have reduced a measurable inefficiency, mentored a peer, or delivered a project with accountability for the outcome rather than just contributing to one.
Which industries hire the most mid level production control managers?
Mid Level production control manager roles concentrate in Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, and Agriculture & Farming, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive consistent hiring at this level because their operations depend on tightly coordinated material flow, production scheduling, and capacity planning that requires professionals with hands-on experience managing competing priorities across the supply chain.
