Strategy Jobs in Indianapolis: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a strategy job in Indianapolis?
Focus your search on Indianapolis's largest employer clusters: health systems, insurance carriers, and logistics companies headquartered downtown and along the North Meridian corridor. Candidates who can demonstrate cross-functional project experience and comfort with data-driven decision-making stand out here. Networking through local business associations and the Indy Chamber gives you a concrete edge in a market where many roles are filled through referrals before they post publicly.
Which companies hire strategys in Indianapolis?
Companies currently hiring strategys in Indianapolis include CVS Health, Eli Lilly, and ADP, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Indianapolis's employer base skews toward large regional anchors in healthcare, insurance, and consumer goods, alongside a growing cohort of corporate headquarters that have expanded their in-house strategy functions over the past several years.
Are there remote strategy jobs in Indianapolis?
Yes, though availability depends on the role: analytical and planning-focused strategy positions tend to support remote work well, while roles tied to stakeholder facilitation or operational leadership are more likely to require an on-site presence. About 100% of strategy openings tied to Indianapolis are remote or hybrid as of September 2026. Corporate strategy and business development roles at Indianapolis-based insurers and health systems most commonly offer hybrid arrangements.
How can I get a strategy job in Indianapolis with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Indianapolis is through a rotational or analyst program at one of the city's large health systems or insurance carriers, which regularly hire recent graduates into strategy-adjacent roles. Titles like business analyst, operations analyst, or associate consultant give you the internal credibility to move into a dedicated strategy function within two to three years. Local consulting boutiques and the city's growing tech startup scene also hire junior strategists willing to wear multiple hats.
Which industries hire the most strategys in Indianapolis?
The sectors hiring the most strategys in Indianapolis are Technology & Software, Insurance, and Accounting & Auditing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Indianapolis's identity as a healthcare and life sciences hub, combined with its deep concentration of insurance and financial services headquarters, creates consistent baseline demand for strategy professionals that holds even when hiring in other sectors slows.
