Strategy Jobs in Indiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategy professional in Indiana?
Most strategy roles in Indiana require at least a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field, and no state-issued license is required for the role itself. Many Indiana employers, particularly in healthcare and life sciences, prefer candidates with an MBA or relevant graduate degree. Building experience in financial analysis, project management, or a business operations role at an Indiana company is a common path into strategy positions.
Which companies hire strategy professionals in Indiana?
Employers hiring strategy professionals in Indiana right now include CVS Health, Langham Logistics, and MISO, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Indiana's concentration of life sciences, insurance, and logistics companies means strategy roles here frequently sit within corporate development, operational excellence, and market expansion teams.
Which Indiana cities have the most strategy jobs?
Indianapolis, Carmel, and Indiana are the Indiana cities with the most strategy openings. Indianapolis dominates because it is home to the state's largest corporate headquarters, hospital systems, and financial services firms, while Fort Wayne and South Bend contribute openings tied to regional manufacturers and anchor universities that run strategy and business development functions.
Are there remote strategy jobs in Indiana?
Yes, and more than most fields. Strategy work is largely analytical and collaboration-based, making it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 93% of strategy openings tied to Indiana are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based nature of most of the work. Roles focused on corporate development and market research tend to offer the most remote flexibility, while positions requiring close coordination with operations or manufacturing are more likely to require an on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a strategy professional in Indiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is securing a business analyst or operations associate role at a large Indiana employer and moving laterally once you have demonstrated analytical and project leadership skills. Eli Lilly, Salesforce's Indianapolis office, and Indiana University Health all run rotational business programs and associate development tracks aimed at recent graduates. Completing an MBA, even part-time at Indiana University Kelley School of Business or Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business, significantly strengthens a candidate's profile for strategy roles.
Where can I find and apply to strategy jobs in Indiana?
You can find and apply to strategy jobs in Indiana on Migrate Mate, which lists current Indiana openings across industries and experience levels. Search the roles that fit your background, review the requirements, and apply directly to the ones that match your experience and career goals.
