Finance Applications Support (FAS) provides a broad range of support for the finance systems by providing system management and integration, process improvement, problem resolution, and data analysis. FAS also identifies, manages, and implements technology priorities for Financial Services to assist in achieving their strategic goals.
- Develop reports for Financial Services using financial, accounts receivable, and human resources data.
- Provide reporting solutions for Financial Services staff and campus end users employing multiple delivery methods.
- Maintain documentation and inventory of developed reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, and
- At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience developing reports, dashboards, or business intelligence solutions using SQL and relational databases; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience developing and supporting reporting solutions using Ellucian Banner Finance, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and/or Position Control data.
- Experience collaborating with functional business offices to define reporting requirements and translate business needs into technical reporting solutions.
- Experience utilizing WebFOCUS, Denodo, or similar business intelligence technologies to develop reports, dashboards, Report Central solutions, and self-service reporting applications.
- Experience supporting financial reporting in a higher education environment, including knowledge of Banner Finance data structures and Financial Services business processes.
- Experience developing or supporting complex financial reporting solutions, including financial statements, management reports, regulatory reporting, or other complex financial reporting processes.
- Knowledge of governmental, public sector, or higher education accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
- Experience working collaboratively within a business intelligence, data governance, or enterprise reporting environment.
- Experience developing technical documentation, delivering end-user training, and supporting reporting applications.
- Experience validating, analyzing, and troubleshooting data and reporting results.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to functional and non-technical users.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
