- Collaborates with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
- Maintains cloud infrastructures in accordance with best practices and firm security policies.
- Analyzes new and existing public cloud services and creates solutions that meet stakeholder requirements and standards.
- Analyzes and implements configuration changes and assists in the design of cloud related solutions to meet both functional and technical requirements.
- Modernizes architecture and core technologies using cloud services and solutions.
- Designs and implements secure, scalable, and innovative solutions to meet firm requirements.
- Creates and updates applicable technical documentation.
- Identifies and resolves infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
- Ensures efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with firm security policies and best practices in cloud security.
- Designs and maintains servers and appliances, including e-mail, file, print, database, document management, directory services, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and applications software in compliance with established policies, standards, guidelines, procedures, and licensing requirements.
- Creates, administers, and maintains end user network and system accounts, permissions, and access rights, including e-mail distribution lists and memberships.
- Designs hardware and software solutions. Troubleshoots and resolves hardware and software problems.
- Provides regular and on-call technical support in response to phone calls, direct requests, ticket requests, and/or e-mails regarding cloud services, network, hardware and software problems.
- Recommends, schedules, and performs cloud services, network. hardware and software improvements, upgrades, patches, and repairs, in accordance with established change management processes.
- Develops, implements, and maintains procedures for systems and network administration.
- Collaborates with other team members to design and recommends optimal network design topologies and configurations.
- Supports research, development, and implementation of networking projects and new technology installations.
- Performs system and data backups and recovery. Assists in development and maintenance of business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response plans. Responds to emergency conditions in accordance with appropriate plans.
- Prepares, maintains, and adheres to procedures for logging, reporting, testing, and monitoring network performance.
- Stays current with industry trends.
- Other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
10+ years experience in system administration as a subject matter expert in Azure AD/Hybrid, Microsoft Servers, Linux Servers and virtualization
