INTRODUCTION
Our Finance team is expanding and looking to add a Tax Intern. We are looking for a dynamic and driven candidate who is interested in joining a fast-growing global company in the automotive sector.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job responsibilities include:
- Corporate, Federal & State Tax
- Assist in preparing federal, state, and local income/franchise tax returns and supporting workpapers.
- Support quarterly and annual tax provision processes, including deferred tax calculations.

Assist in responding to IRS and state tax notices or audits.

R& D Tax Credit
- Gather and analyze data to support R&D tax credit studies.
- Assist in documenting qualified research activities and expenses.

Help prepare supporting schedules and reports for R&D credit filings.

Transfer Pricing
- Support preparation of transfer pricing documentation reports.

Collect financial and operational data from various business units to support intercompany pricing analysis.

Property Tax
- Assist with gathering property tax data and supporting documentation.
- Help prepare property tax returns and assessments.

Support reconciliation and analysis of property tax payments.

General Tax Projects
- Conduct basic tax research and summarize findings to support compliance and planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Accounting, Finance, Legal, Operations) to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives across tax areas.
- Other Ad-hoc topics.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
To be a qualified candidate you must have the following:
- Ability to work on-site.
- Have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
