Tax Senior Jobs in Nashville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a tax senior job in Nashville?
Focus your search on Nashville's three strongest hiring pockets: the large regional and national public accounting firms in Midtown and downtown, the corporate tax teams embedded in the city's healthcare and healthcare services companies, and the growing professional services corridor in Cool Springs and Brentwood. Candidates with public accounting experience, CPA licensure, and exposure to multi-state or federal tax compliance stand out most in Nashville's market.
Which companies hire tax seniors in Nashville?
Employers hiring tax seniors in Nashville right now include BDO, Frazier & Deeter, and KPMG, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nashville's hiring mix skews toward mid-size regional accounting firms, large healthcare systems with in-house tax functions, and the corporate headquarters of several nationally recognized consumer and financial services companies.
Are there remote tax senior jobs in Nashville?
Yes, though availability depends on the role type, tax compliance and provision work can often be done remotely, while tax controversy, audit support, and client-facing public accounting roles more commonly require in-office or hybrid schedules. About 44% of tax senior openings tied to Nashville are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with the fully remote positions most often sitting inside corporate tax departments rather than public accounting firms.
How can I get a tax senior job in Nashville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Nashville is through a staff or associate tax role at one of the regional public accounting firms concentrated in Midtown or Brentwood, where structured advancement to the senior level typically follows two to three years of compliance and review work. Healthcare companies and financial services firms in Nashville also bring in junior tax professionals and develop them in-house. Earning your CPA and gaining exposure to multi-state tax issues during those early years is what most Nashville employers look for before promoting to senior.
Which industries hire the most tax seniors in Nashville?
Nashville tax senior roles concentrate in Accounting & Auditing, Consulting & Professional Services, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nashville's outsized healthcare sector, combined with its growing base of corporate headquarters and regional professional services firms, is what drives consistent demand for tax senior talent in those industries locally.
