How do I get a tax senior job in Dallas?
Focus your search on Dallas's dense clusters of public accounting firms along the Tollway corridor and corporate tax departments in Uptown and Las Colinas. Big Four and regional mid-market firms hire consistently, as do the in-house tax teams of Dallas-headquartered energy, retail, and financial services companies. A CPA license or active candidacy gives you a clear edge, and experience with federal and state pass-through work is especially valued in this market.
Which companies hire tax seniors in Dallas?

Dallas attracts a wide mix of Big Four offices, regional accounting firms, and Fortune 500 corporate tax departments, giving candidates options across both public practice and industry.
Are there remote tax senior jobs in Dallas?
Yes, though availability depends on the role type: advisory and compliance review work tends to be remote-friendly, while hands-on client-facing or local audit support roles usually require in-office presence. About 24% of tax senior openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting a broader shift in how larger firms structure their teams. Corporate in-house roles, especially in Dallas's technology and financial services sectors, are among the more flexible.
How can I get a tax senior job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dallas is starting as a tax associate at a regional or mid-market public accounting firm, several of which have strong local presences and structured progression tracks. Dallas also has a sizable internship pipeline through its major university recruiting programs, which many firms use as a direct hiring channel. Lateral moves from audit or advisory roles into tax compliance are common, and candidates who have passed at least two parts of the CPA exam tend to move through screening faster at local firms.
