I opened my agency in 2018 and currently lead a close-knit team of four. Before becoming a State Farm agent, I built my career in the health and fitness industry, including experience managing a health club. I also have a strong athletic background, having played college football at both Georgia Tech and Alabama State. Those experiences helped shape the teamwork, discipline, and positive energy I bring to the agency today.
Giving back is important to me and our team. We stay active in the local community, support area food banks, and I serve on the board of a charitable organization that supports a Chicago children’s hospital.
Our agency offers health, dental, and vision insurance, licensing costs paid up front, and a strong commitment to work-life balance. We want our team members to feel supported both professionally and personally while building a rewarding career.
Our culture is tight-knit, family-oriented, and built around great attitudes and great energy. I’m looking for someone who is a genuine team player and understands the impact they can have on every person they interact with. We want someone who strives to be memorable for the right reasons - bringing positivity to the team, building meaningful relationships, and leaving customers with a lasting impression of exceptional service.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As an Account Manager for Freddie Crenshaw - State Farm Agent, you are vital to our daily business operations and customers’ success. You help grow our agency through meaningful customer relations and acting as a liaison between customer needs and agent office departments. You improve the lives of customers by proactively marketing relevant products and services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain customer relationships to drive retention and growth.
- Conduct policy reviews and provide recommendations to customers.
- Oversee the resolution of complex customer issues.
- Use your knowledge of our insurance products to recommend, explain and sell policies to both cold and warm leads.
- Experience in insurance sales or account management preferred.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
- Willingness to engage in sales conversations.

Team Manager Jobs in Chicago: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a team manager job in Chicago?
Start by targeting Chicago's highest-volume hiring sectors: retail, healthcare operations, financial services, and logistics. The Loop and West Loop anchor corporate and financial employers, while neighborhoods like Wicker Park and Pilsen have growing retail and hospitality operations. Candidates who can demonstrate measurable results, such as reduced turnover or improved productivity metrics, stand out in Chicago's competitive market. Networking through local industry associations also gives applicants a meaningful edge.
Which companies hire team managers in Chicago?
Companies currently hiring team managers in Chicago include State Farm, Sedex, and Curinos, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Chicago's market is particularly active among large retailers, regional healthcare systems, and financial services firms with downtown headquarters.
Are there remote team manager jobs in Chicago?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role type. Hands-on team manager positions in retail, warehousing, and healthcare are almost always on-site, while project-based or analytical team management roles in tech and financial services are more frequently remote or hybrid. About 75% of team manager openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common among Loop-based corporate employers.
How can I get a team manager job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Chicago is through shift lead or senior associate roles at large retailers, grocery chains, and healthcare support services, which routinely promote from within. Chicago-area logistics hubs and fulfillment centers also hire entry-level supervisors with strong attendance and reliability records. Building experience coordinating small teams in any context, then documenting outcomes, positions you well for a formal team manager title at Chicago employers who prioritize demonstrated leadership over credentials.
