Entry Level Technical Business Analyst Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level technical business analyst job?
Focus on building skills that hiring managers can see: SQL and Excel proficiency, experience translating business problems into requirements, and familiarity with tools like Jira or Confluence. A class project, internship, or capstone that shows end-to-end analysis work gives you a concrete edge. Tailor your resume to highlight how you gathered requirements or documented processes, even in academic or volunteer settings.
Which companies hire entry level technical business analysts?
Companies hiring entry level technical business analysts right now include BDO, Jobot, and ActioNet, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring covers established enterprises building out analyst pipelines as well as consulting firms and technology companies that regularly bring in junior candidates and train them on proprietary tools and processes.
Are there remote entry level technical business analyst jobs?
Yes, though remote availability varies by employer and team. About 13% of entry level technical business analyst openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, giving candidates the flexibility to apply beyond their immediate geography. Many hybrid roles are structured to let junior analysts work remotely several days a week while attending on-site meetings and team sessions as needed.
Are these new grad technical business analyst jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior technical business analyst roles. A posting is generally new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, lists internships or coursework as qualifying background, or explicitly accepts a strong portfolio in place of full-time history. Look for language like "entry level," "associate," or "junior" to identify roles open to candidates just starting out.
Which industries hire the most entry level technical business analysts?
Entry Level technical business analyst roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Education, and Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to drive junior hiring because they manage large volumes of data, run complex internal systems, and need analysts who can bridge technical teams and business stakeholders from day one.
