Technical Solutions Consultant Jobs in New Hampshire: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a technical solutions consultant in New Hampshire?
Most technical solutions consultant roles in New Hampshire require a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering, though employers in Nashua and Manchester also consider candidates with equivalent technical certifications. There is no state-issued license specific to this role in New Hampshire. Vendor certifications from AWS, Microsoft, or Salesforce strengthen candidacy significantly, and candidates who build hands-on experience through lab work or internships with New Hampshire technology firms move into consulting roles faster.
Which companies hire technical solutions consultants in New Hampshire?
Employers hiring technical solutions consultants in New Hampshire right now include BAE Systems USA, CVS Health, and GBG, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Southern New Hampshire's concentration of defense contractors, enterprise software firms, and financial technology companies means openings surface regularly across both large enterprises and regional managed-service providers.
Which New Hampshire cities have the most technical solutions consultant jobs?
The cities with the most technical solutions consultant openings in New Hampshire are New Hampshire, Nashua, and Portsmouth. Manchester and Nashua lead because they anchor the state's technology corridor along Route 3 and Interstate 293, hosting the regional offices of major enterprise software and defense contractors, while Concord draws openings tied to state government IT modernization projects and financial services firms headquartered downtown.
Are there remote technical solutions consultant jobs in New Hampshire?
Yes, and more than most fields, since technical solutions consulting is fundamentally a desk-based, communication-driven role that translates well to distributed work. About 73% of technical solutions consultant openings tied to New Hampshire are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how many employers allow pre-sales and implementation work to happen off-site. The portions of the role most commonly done remotely are discovery calls, product demonstrations, and solution documentation, while on-site client visits remain common for enterprise deals.
How can I get hired as a technical solutions consultant in New Hampshire with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a technical solutions consultant role from a technical support, systems administrator, or junior implementation analyst position with a New Hampshire-based technology employer. Companies like BAE Systems and Oracle operate associate and rotational programs in southern New Hampshire that accept recent graduates from institutions like the University of New Hampshire and Southern New Hampshire University. Building a portfolio of vendor certifications and completing a capstone project or internship that demonstrates pre-sales or solution-design work gives candidates with limited experience a concrete edge.
Where can I find and apply to technical solutions consultant jobs in New Hampshire?
You can find and apply to technical solutions consultant jobs in New Hampshire on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your background and preferred location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
