Entry Level Technical Solutions Engineer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level technical solutions engineer job?
Employers at this level look for candidates who can demonstrate technical fundamentals alongside customer-facing communication skills. A portfolio showing hands-on troubleshooting, API integrations, or system configuration work gives you a concrete edge over candidates with only coursework. Internship experience, bootcamp projects, and certifications in cloud platforms or networking also strengthen an application for entry level roles that explicitly welcome little or no professional experience.
Which companies hire entry level technical solutions engineers?
Companies hiring entry level technical solutions engineers right now include Arista Networks, Molex, and Guidewire, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of employers, including enterprise software vendors, SaaS startups, managed service providers, and technology consulting firms that build out junior technical teams to support growing customer bases.
Are there remote entry level technical solutions engineer jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and role type. About 40% of entry level technical solutions engineer openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, making this a field where new grads are not limited to local markets. Many companies offer remote or hybrid arrangements for solutions engineers who can handle customer onboarding and technical support independently from day one.
Are these new grad technical solutions engineer jobs?
Yes, the openings listed here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior technical solutions engineer roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes candidates with zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or academic projects in place of full-time work history, or lists a portfolio as an acceptable substitute for a lengthy resume. Entry level does not mean identical to a mid-level role with a lower title.
Which industries hire the most entry level technical solutions engineers?
Entry Level technical solutions engineer roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Manufacturing, and Electronics & Hardware, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they rely on rapidly scaling customer implementations, integrations, and technical support functions that junior engineers can be trained into without requiring years of prior industry-specific experience.
