Entry Level Threat Intelligence Analyst Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level threat intelligence analyst job?
Entry level threat intelligence analyst roles reward candidates who can demonstrate hands-on skills, not just coursework. Build a portfolio showing threat reports, IOC analysis, or CTF challenge write-ups. Certifications like CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or an entry-level SANS course signal readiness. Employers at this level also look for familiarity with SIEM tools, threat feeds, and frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, even if your experience comes from labs or internships.
Which companies hire entry level threat intelligence analysts?
Companies hiring entry level threat intelligence analysts right now include Google, Tenex.Ai, and Capital One, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of employers, including defense contractors, financial institutions, managed security service providers, and large technology firms that run in-house security operations centers.
Are there remote entry level threat intelligence analyst jobs?
Yes, though on-site roles remain common at this stage due to mentorship and clearance requirements. About 50% of entry level threat intelligence analyst openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates who want flexibility have real options. Hybrid arrangements are particularly common at larger enterprises that pair remote analysis work with occasional on-site collaboration.
Are these new grad threat intelligence analyst jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior threat intelligence analyst roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or co-ops toward requirements, or treats a strong portfolio of independent research as equivalent to professional tenure. Look for language like 'entry level,' 'associate,' or 'junior' in the title to identify roles built for candidates just starting out.
Which industries hire the most entry level threat intelligence analysts?
Entry Level threat intelligence analyst roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Artificial Intelligence, and Banking & Financial Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they manage high-value data, face persistent adversary targeting, or operate under compliance frameworks that require dedicated threat monitoring functions.
