Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Field Auditor
Align your credentials to the accountant category
TN Field Auditor approval depends on classifying your role under the USMCA accountant category. Gather transcripts showing a degree in accounting, finance, or a directly related field before you contact any employer.
Target employers with active internal audit functions
Companies required to meet SOX compliance, federal contract audits, or state regulatory reviews hire Field Auditors regularly and understand TN sponsorship mechanics better than general accounting firms that rarely hire cross-border.
Request a support letter that names audit duties specifically
Your employer's TN support letter must describe field audit activities, such as on-site financial examinations or compliance testing, not just 'accounting work.' Vague letters are the leading cause of TN denials at the port of entry.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified TN-sponsoring employers
Search Field Auditor roles on Migrate Mate to filter employers with documented TN visa sponsorship history. This cuts the time spent cold-applying to companies unfamiliar with USMCA professional worker classifications.
Prepare for Canadian port-of-entry processing with complete documents
Canadian citizens can apply for TN status directly at a land border or airport without pre-filing. Bring your offer letter, support letter, degree credential, and a resume. CBP officers adjudicate on the spot, so gaps in your package cause immediate delays.
Understand that TN renewals follow your audit contract term
TN status is employer-specific and tied to the job described in your petition. If your Field Auditor role shifts to a different client portfolio or audit type, confirm with your employer whether a new TN filing is needed before the change takes effect.

Find Field Auditor JobsField Auditor TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Field Auditor role qualify for TN visa sponsorship?
Yes, Field Auditor positions qualify under the USMCA accountant category, provided the role requires and you hold a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related discipline. The job duties must center on financial examination, compliance auditing, or internal controls review. General business or management roles that include some audit work do not qualify under this category.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for Field Auditor jobs?
TN has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadian citizens, and can be obtained at the port of entry the same day you have a job offer. H-1B requires employer sponsorship months in advance, a lottery selection, and USCIS petition approval. For Field Auditors who qualify under USMCA, TN is a faster and more predictable path than competing in the H-1B lottery cycle.
Where can I find Field Auditor jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search Field Auditor roles specifically filtered by TN visa sponsorship, so you're not sorting through postings from employers unfamiliar with USMCA classifications. Focusing on employers who have previously sponsored TN professionals reduces the back-and-forth of educating hiring teams about the process from scratch.
Can Mexican citizens get TN sponsorship for Field Auditor positions?
Yes, Mexican citizens qualify for TN status in the accountant category covering Field Auditor roles, but the process differs from Canadian applicants. Mexican nationals must apply through a U.S. consulate for a TN visa stamp before entering, rather than presenting at a port of entry. The same degree and employer documentation requirements apply, and USMCA caps the annual allocation for Mexican TN workers.
What documents does my employer need to prepare for my TN filing?
Your employer needs to provide a signed support letter on company letterhead that describes the Field Auditor position, confirms your degree aligns with the accountant category, states the employment terms, and specifies the duration. The letter should list specific audit responsibilities such as on-site compliance reviews or financial control testing. You supply the degree credential, transcripts, and your resume for the complete package.
