Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Group Product Manager
Align your degree to the TN category
TN classification for Group Product Managers hinges on whether your role maps to Management Consultant or Computer Systems Analyst. Your degree field must match the category your employer selects, so confirm that alignment before your offer letter is drafted.
Request a detailed employer support letter
Your employer's TN support letter must specify your job duties, the TN category, your degree relevance, and the employment period. Vague letters are the leading cause of CBP delays or denials at the port of entry for product management roles.
Target companies with recent visa filings
Search Migrate Mate's database of employers with recent visa filings to identify companies experienced with work visa sponsorship. This filters for organizations already familiar with visa sponsorship processes, reducing internal friction when you raise sponsorship during negotiations.
Find Group Product Manager roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to search Group Product Manager openings filtered by TN visa sponsorship. The platform surfaces employers with active sponsorship history so you can focus your applications on companies already set up to support your status.
Prepare for category scrutiny if your scope is broad
CBP officers sometimes push back on product management roles that span engineering, marketing, and strategy. Carry documentation showing your primary duties align with one TN category, including your job description, org chart placement, and degree transcripts, to address questions on the spot.
Understand the Canadian versus Mexican filing difference
Canadian citizens can apply for TN status directly at a U.S. port of entry without advance USCIS filing. Mexican citizens must schedule a consular interview and obtain the TN visa stamp before traveling, which adds several weeks to the timeline.

Find Group Product Manager JobsGroup Product Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Group Product Manager role qualify for TN visa status?
It can, but the classification depends on how your duties are framed. Most Group Product Manager roles qualify under either the Management Consultant or Computer Systems Analyst TN category. Your employer's support letter must map your specific responsibilities to one of these categories, and your degree must correspond to that field. Roles that span multiple functions are more likely to face CBP scrutiny.
How does the TN visa compare to H-1B for a Group Product Manager?
The TN visa has no lottery and no annual cap for Canadian citizens, so you can start work as soon as CBP approves your application at the port of entry. H-1B requires entering the lottery in March with a typical wait of over a year before work authorization begins. The trade-off is that TN does not support dual intent, meaning it is not a direct path to a green card the way H-1B can be.
Where can I find Group Product Manager jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking roles with TN visa sponsorship. You can search Group Product Manager openings filtered by sponsorship availability, which saves you from applying to employers who have no experience with the TN process and are unlikely to provide the required support letter.
Can I switch employers while on a TN visa as a Group Product Manager?
Yes, but your TN status is employer-specific. When you accept a new role, your new employer must issue a support letter and you must obtain a new TN approval before starting work. Canadian citizens can do this at a port of entry on their way back into the country. Mexican citizens need a new consular appointment. You cannot work for the new employer until the new TN is approved.
What documents does a Group Product Manager need to apply for TN status?
You need a valid Canadian or Mexican passport, your employer's TN support letter specifying the role, TN category, and duration, and evidence that your degree matches the claimed category. For Computer Systems Analyst classification, a degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical field works best. For Management Consultant, a business or management degree is the stronger match. Bring transcripts and any professional credentials to your port of entry or consular appointment.
