Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship in Head Of Growth
Frame your credentials around Management Consultant criteria
TN visa has no dedicated Growth category, so your offer letter and credentials must map cleanly to Management Consultant. Your degree should be in business, economics, or a related field, and your role description must emphasize analytical advisory work, not general management.
Target employers with dedicated immigration support teams
Growth roles at Series B and later-stage companies are more likely to have HR teams familiar with TN sponsorship. Earlier-stage startups may not know TN is an option, so come prepared to explain that TN requires no lottery and no cap for Canadians.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers efficiently
Searching broadly for Head of Growth roles wastes time on employers who won't sponsor. Migrate Mate filters for companies with recent visa filings so you spend your outreach on employers already experienced with sponsoring international talent from Canada and Mexico.
Verify your offer letter includes all required TN language
The offer letter is your primary TN document. It must state your professional capacity, the Management Consultant classification, your specific duties, and the period of employment. Missing any of these elements gets your application rejected at the border or consulate.
Understand how Mexican applicants navigate consular processing
Unlike Canadians who can present TN applications directly at a port of entry, Mexican citizens must schedule a consular interview at a U.S. embassy. Build four to eight weeks of lead time into your start date negotiations to account for appointment availability.
Clarify equity compensation before your TN status is finalized
Many Head of Growth offers include stock options or equity. Ensure your employment terms don't position you as an owner or partner, since TN status requires an employer-employee relationship. An employment contract clearly documenting your salaried role protects your classification.
Head Of Growth TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Head of Growth job title qualify directly for TN visa sponsorship?
There is no TN category called Head of Growth. To qualify, your employer must classify the role under an eligible TN category, most commonly Management Consultant. Your offer letter must describe duties centered on strategic analysis and advisory work in business growth, not general operational management. The job title alone is less important than how the role is defined in writing.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for a Head of Growth role?
TN has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadian citizens, and can be obtained in a single day at a port of entry. H-1B visa requires a lottery with roughly a one-in-four selection chance, a months-long USCIS process, and an October 1 start date. For Canadian and Mexican professionals, TN is faster and more predictable for specialty business roles like Head of Growth.
What documentation does my employer need to provide for my TN application?
Your employer must provide a signed offer letter that includes your job title, a description of your Head Of Growth duties, the business purpose, your qualifications, and the intended period of employment. Canadian applicants bring these documents to the U.S. border or port of entry for inspection; Mexican applicants submit them at a U.S. consulate. The entire process is streamlined since TN sponsorship does not involve government labor filings—just the offer letter and supporting documentation demonstrating your role qualifies under TN professional categories.
Where can I find Head of Growth jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Most general job searches won't surface employers who actively sponsor TN visas, which means a lot of outreach goes nowhere. Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals and filters opportunities by sponsorship history, so you can focus your applications on employers who are already set up to hire on a TN visa for roles like Head of Growth.
Can I switch employers or take on consulting projects while on TN status?
Your TN status is tied to the specific employer named in your application. Changing employers requires a new TN application before you start work for the new company. Taking on independent consulting or fractional work outside your sponsoring employer's scope is not permitted under TN status, since the visa requires a genuine employer-employee relationship with a single U.S. employer.
