Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Partnerships Associate
Frame your credentials around Management Consultant
TN visa eligibility for Partnerships Associates hinges on qualifying under the Management Consultant category. Pull together documentation showing you analyze business problems, develop partnership strategies, and deliver recommendations, not just execute tasks.
Target companies with active partnership ecosystems
SaaS platforms, fintech firms, and enterprise software companies run structured partner programs that generate recurring sponsorship needs. Search for roles titled Partner Development, Channel Partnerships, or Strategic Alliances, these signal an established function, not a one-off hire.
Use Migrate Mate to find TN-eligible roles
Not every Partnerships Associate posting is open to TN candidates. Migrate Mate filters roles by recent visa filings so you're applying to employers experienced with visa sponsorship, not guessing from job description language. For Canadian applicants, once you secure an offer, your employer will prepare a support letter you present at the U.S. port of entry. Mexican nationals apply through a U.S. consulate with the same documentation. Either way, the process is straightforward—no government labor certification required.
Prepare a support letter that maps duties to TN criteria
CBP officers adjudicate TN petitions at the border based on a support letter from your employer. The letter must connect your Partnerships Associate duties to the Management Consultant definition, vague job descriptions are the leading cause of TN denials at ports of entry.
Understand how Mexican nationals navigate the consular process
Mexican citizens cannot apply for TN status at the border like Canadians. You'll schedule a consular interview at a U.S. embassy in Mexico, which adds lead time to your start date. Factor in consular appointment availability when negotiating your offer timeline.

Find Partnerships Associate JobsPartnerships Associate TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Partnerships Associate role qualify for TN visa sponsorship?
Yes, if the role is structured around consulting, strategic analysis, or business development advisory functions. The TN visa classifies Partnerships Associates under the Management Consultant category. The key is that your duties must involve identifying problems, analyzing partnership opportunities, and delivering recommendations, not purely sales execution or account management.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for this role?
TN has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadians, and can be processed at a port of entry in a single day for Canadian citizens. H-1B requires a USCIS petition, takes months to adjudicate, and is subject to an annual lottery with no guarantee of selection. For Partnerships Associate roles, TN is a faster and more predictable path if you're a Canadian or Mexican citizen and the role qualifies under Management Consultant.
What documents does my employer need to provide for TN sponsorship?
Your employer needs to produce a support letter on company letterhead that outlines your job title, duties, qualifications, length of employment, and how the role fits the Management Consultant TN category. For Canadian applicants, this letter goes directly to a CBP officer at the port of entry. Mexican nationals submit it as part of their consular application package.
Where can I find Partnerships Associate jobs that sponsor TN visas?
Most general job boards don't indicate whether a role is open to TN visa candidates. Migrate Mate is built specifically for this, it surfaces Partnerships Associate and related roles from employers with verified TN and work visa sponsorship history, so you're not spending time on applications that will hit a dead end at the offer stage.
Can I switch employers on a TN visa if I find a better Partnerships Associate role?
Yes. TN status is employer-specific, so changing employers requires a new TN authorization tied to the new company. Canadian citizens can obtain new TN status at a port of entry when starting with the new employer. Mexican nationals need to return to a U.S. consulate. There's no grace period for gaps between employers, so timing your transition matters.
