Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Title Officer
Gather your title-specific credentials first
Before approaching employers, compile your post-secondary transcripts, any state licensing documentation, and a letter from a previous employer detailing your title examination duties. CBP officers evaluate these documents on the spot at the border.
Target title companies with multistate operations
National title underwriters and settlement service firms handle TN paperwork more routinely than small independent abstractors. Search for companies with offices in multiple states, as their HR teams are more familiar with USMCA professional categories.
Clarify the specialty occupation framing with your employer
TN approval depends on demonstrating that the Title Officer role requires specialized training, not just on-the-job experience. Work with your hiring manager to frame the job description around examination, underwriting analysis, or legal review functions.
Search for TN-ready Title Officer roles on Migrate Mate
Filter by TN visa sponsorship and the Title Officer category on Migrate Mate to surface employers already familiar with USMCA filing requirements, cutting weeks off the vetting process before your first interview.
Understand the Mexican consular appointment timeline
Mexican citizens must schedule a nonimmigrant visa interview at a U.S. consulate, and appointment availability varies widely by location. Plan for a potential wait of several weeks and build that buffer into your employment start date negotiation.
Confirm your employer will prepare a TN support letter
Your employer must provide a detailed offer letter stating your title, job duties, your Canadian or Mexican citizenship, and the professional category being claimed. Without this letter meeting CBP's specific requirements, your TN petition will be rejected at entry.

Find Title Officer JobsTitle Officer TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Title Officer role qualify for TN visa status?
It depends on how the position is structured. TN visa eligibility for Title Officers typically falls under the scientific technologist or other qualifying professional categories, but the role must require specialized post-secondary education in a relevant field. A generalist title clerk position likely won't qualify, while a role requiring examination of title chains, legal analysis of encumbrances, or underwriting review generally will.
How does the TN visa compare to H-1B for Title Officer positions?
The TN visa has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadian citizens, and can be approved at the border on the same day you present your documents. H-1B requires employer sponsorship months in advance, enters a lottery with limited slots, and takes significantly longer to adjudicate. For Canadian Title Officers with a qualifying job offer, TN is almost always the faster and more predictable path.
Where can I find Title Officer jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking roles with TN visa sponsorship. Instead of sorting through generic job listings and cold-contacting HR teams unfamiliar with USMCA, you can filter directly by TN visa category and Title Officer roles, reaching employers already prepared to support the filing process.
Can I start working as a Title Officer while my TN is being processed?
Canadian citizens admitted at the border receive TN status immediately upon approval, so work can begin on day one. Mexican citizens must wait for their TN visa stamp from the U.S. consulate before entering to work. In neither case can you begin employment before your TN status is formally granted, since TN does not have an authorized period of stay pending adjudication.
What happens if my Title Officer role changes after I receive TN status?
If your core duties shift significantly, you may need to file an amended TN petition or obtain a new TN approval that reflects the updated role. Minor task changes within the same professional category are generally acceptable, but moving into a supervisory or administrative function that no longer centers on specialized title work could jeopardize your status. Discuss any role changes with your employer before they take effect.
