Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Performance Manager
Align your credentials to management consulting
TN visa eligibility for Performance Managers depends on classifying the role under Management Consultant. Your resume and degree transcripts must show advisory and analytical responsibilities, not just operational oversight. A mismatch between your credentials and that category is the most common denial trigger.
Target employers with dedicated HR compliance teams
Large organizations in healthcare, logistics, and financial services regularly sponsor TN professionals for performance-focused roles. These employers have internal processes for generating the employer support letter CBP or a consulate requires, which reduces back-and-forth during the offer stage.
Get your employer support letter right the first time
CBP officers assess TN eligibility at the port of entry using your employer's letter. It must specify that the role requires a bachelor's degree in a qualifying field and describe duties that match Management Consultant. Vague language about 'driving results' or 'leading teams' is not enough.
Search for TN jobs using Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Performance Manager roles by employers actively seeking TN visa candidates. The platform surfaces sponsorship-ready job listings so you're not cold-applying to companies unfamiliar with the USMCA process or unsure whether your role qualifies.
Clarify your role's scope during negotiations
Performance Managers who also handle direct reports or own a P&L can face TN scrutiny if the role reads more like general management than consulting. Before accepting an offer, confirm with the employer that the job description emphasizes analysis, recommendations, and performance improvement over line management.
Prepare for Mexican nationals' consular processing timeline
Mexican citizens must apply through a U.S. consulate rather than at a land port of entry. Appointment availability and document review add time to the process. Request your employer support letter and gather degree credentials well before your intended start date to avoid gaps.

Find Performance Manager JobsPerformance Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Performance Manager role qualify for TN visa sponsorship?
It can, but classification matters. TN visa eligibility for Performance Managers typically falls under the Management Consultant category, which requires the role to involve providing advisory services, analyzing organizational performance, and recommending improvements. Roles that are primarily operational or involve managing large direct-report structures may face scrutiny from CBP or a consular officer.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for Performance Manager roles?
TN is faster and more predictable for Canadian and Mexican citizens. There's no annual lottery, no cap for Canadians, and approval can happen at the border for Canadian nationals on the same day. H-1B requires an employer to enter the lottery in March, wait for selection, and file months before a October 1 start date. For Performance Manager roles that qualify under TN's Management Consultant category, TN is almost always the faster path.
Where can I find Performance Manager jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lists Performance Manager roles from employers who are open to TN visa sponsorship. Searching general job boards can waste time because most listings don't specify visa sponsorship type, and many employers are unfamiliar with USMCA categories. Starting with a platform built around TN-eligible roles narrows your search to sponsorship-ready opportunities from the outset.
What documents does my employer need to provide for my TN application?
Your employer must provide a detailed support letter on company letterhead confirming your job title, the professional category you're entering under, your anticipated length of employment, and a description of duties. For Performance Manager roles, the letter should make clear that the position requires a relevant bachelor's degree and involves consulting-style analytical work rather than general management.
Can I switch employers while working on a TN visa as a Performance Manager?
Yes, but you need a new TN authorization before starting with the new employer. Your TN status is tied to the specific employer named in your application. Canadian citizens can often get a new TN approved at the border with a new employer letter. Mexican citizens must return to a U.S. consulate for a new visa stamp, so plan the transition timeline accordingly.
