Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Product Management Specialist
Align your credentials to USMCA categories
TN classification for Product Management Specialists typically falls under Management Consultant. Your degree, job title, and duties must all point to that category. A mismatch between your offer letter and your documented qualifications is the most common CBP rejection trigger.
Target employers with recent visa filing experience
Companies with recent visa filings for management roles are already familiar with visa sponsorship logistics. Prioritizing these employers shortens the time from offer to start date and reduces the risk of a sponsor backing out mid-process.
Prepare a duties letter before interviewing
Draft a one-page summary of your Product Management Specialist responsibilities tied explicitly to the Management Consultant definition. Having this ready lets your employer finalize the support letter quickly once an offer is made, avoiding delays from back-and-forth revisions.
Understand the Mexican TN annual cap before negotiating timelines
Mexican nationals face a 5,500-per-year TN cap processed through USCIS rather than at the border. Factor consulate appointment availability and USCIS processing windows into your start-date negotiation so your employer sets a realistic onboarding timeline.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Search Migrate Mate to identify Product Management Specialist roles at companies that actively sponsor TN visas. The platform filters by visa type so you spend time pursuing employers already open to the process, not educating those who aren't.
Request an indefinite-renewal commitment before signing
TN visas are granted in three-year increments with unlimited renewals. Before accepting an offer, confirm your employer will support renewals as long as you remain employed. A one-time sponsorship commitment leaves you exposed when your first TN period expires.

Find Product Management Specialist JobsProduct Management Specialist TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Product Management Specialist role qualify for a TN visa?
Yes, if the role is framed correctly. Product Management Specialist duties that align with strategic analysis, process improvement, or organizational consulting map to the USMCA's Management Consultant category. The job title alone isn't enough. CBP officers review the offer letter's duty description, so your employer's support letter must tie day-to-day responsibilities to that specific TN category.
How does the TN visa compare to H-1B for Product Management Specialist roles?
The TN has no lottery, no annual cap for Canadians, and Canadians can activate status at the border the same day. The H-1B requires a lottery entry in March, a months-long wait if selected, and USCIS adjudication that can add weeks. For Product Management Specialists with a firm offer, TN reaches an active work date far faster than H-1B in most cases.
Which documents does my employer need to sponsor my TN visa?
Your employer needs to provide a support letter on company letterhead that states your job title, duties, qualifications, duration of employment, and confirmation that the role falls under an eligible USMCA category. For Mexican nationals, you'll apply at a U.S. consulate with this support letter as your primary documentation. Canadians can present the support letter directly at the U.S. port of entry. No government labor filing or certification is required for either country.
Where can I find Product Management Specialist jobs that sponsor TN visas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking TN visa sponsorship in the U.S. You can search Product Management Specialist roles filtered by visa type, which removes the friction of approaching employers who have no familiarity with TN sponsorship. General job platforms don't filter for sponsorship willingness, which wastes significant time during outreach.
Can I switch employers while on a TN visa in a Product Management Specialist role?
Yes, but your TN status is tied to your current employer. Canadians can present a new support letter and documentation at a port of entry to activate TN status with the new employer. Mexican nationals must file a new USCIS petition. You cannot begin work with the new employer until the new TN is approved, so coordinate your start date accordingly to avoid a status gap.
