ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Product Design Documentation Specialist supports Bedding Product Design Engineers by creating and maintaining accurate CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation for mattresses, foundations, and related sleep-system components. This role ensures product documentation accurately reflects design intent and is suitable for prototyping, testing, supplier communication, and production release.
- Create, revise, and maintain 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, assemblies, and BOMs using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD tools.
- Translate engineering concepts, specifications, and construction methods into clear, manufacturable documentation.
- Support design changes by updating documentation and maintaining proper revision control.
- Collaborate closely with Product Design Engineers throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate records within CAD systems.
- Support prototype builds and resolves documentation issues identified during development.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, for data tracking and documentation support.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Associate degree or Technical School education in CADD, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.
- Experience interpreting product specifications and creating technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in bedding, furniture, upholstery, or consumer products manufacturing or development.
