Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Technical Solutions Architect
Map your role to TN classifications
Technical Solutions Architect doesn't appear verbatim in TN occupation lists. Document how your duties align with Computer Systems Analyst, the most commonly cited classification for this role. Your offer letter must reflect that framing.
Build an architecture-specific credential package
CBP officers assess TN eligibility at entry. Compile your degree transcripts, vendor certifications like AWS or Azure, and a letter detailing your systems design responsibilities. Gaps between your title and degree field draw scrutiny.
Target employers with cross-border hiring infrastructure
Focus your search on companies that already employ Canadian or Mexican professionals, since their HR and legal teams understand TN documentation requirements. Employers new to TN often delay offers while they learn the process from scratch.
Clarify pre-sales scope before signing an offer
Some Solutions Architect roles are predominantly sales-support functions. CBP may question TN eligibility if your duties lean toward client acquisition rather than technical system design. Get a written job description that emphasizes architecture and implementation.
Use Migrate Mate to find experienced visa sponsors
Searching broadly for Solutions Architect jobs wastes time on employers unfamiliar with visa sponsorship. Migrate Mate filters roles by employer experience with recent visa filings so you apply to companies already equipped to handle work visa sponsorship quickly.
Understand the Mexican TN consulate process before negotiating timelines
Mexican citizens must schedule a consulate appointment, which can run several weeks out. Factor that into your start-date negotiation. Employers expecting a two-week turnaround may not realize Mexican applicants face a longer pre-employment window.

Find Technical Solutions Architect JobsTechnical Solutions Architect TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Technical Solutions Architect role qualify for a TN visa?
Yes, but the classification depends on how your duties are structured. CBP recognizes Computer Systems Analyst as the applicable TN occupation for most Solutions Architect roles. Your offer letter and job description must emphasize systems analysis, architecture design, and technical implementation rather than sales or account management functions.
How does the TN visa compare to H-1B for Technical Solutions Architect positions?
TN has no annual lottery and no cap for Canadian citizens, so approval is tied to your eligibility and documentation rather than chance. H-1B requires employer sponsorship months in advance and is subject to a lottery with limited slots. For Canadian professionals who qualify, TN typically allows faster entry into a role. Mexican citizens face a numerical limit on TN approvals each year, but the process still avoids the H-1B lottery entirely.
What documents does your employer need to prepare for your TN application?
Your employer must provide a formal support letter on company letterhead that specifies your job title, a description of duties framed around systems analysis and architecture, the work location, and the duration of employment. USCIS Form I-129 is required if the employer chooses to file a petition rather than having you apply directly at a port of entry or consulate.
Where can you find Technical Solutions Architect jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Most general job searches don't filter by visa type, so you end up spending time on roles where the employer has no experience with TN documentation. Migrate Mate is built specifically for this: you can search Technical Solutions Architect openings by TN visa sponsorship, making it easier to reach employers already set up to hire Canadian and Mexican professionals.
Can your TN status be renewed if you switch to a different employer?
TN status is employer-specific, so changing employers requires a new TN application tied to the new job offer. Canadian citizens can initiate this at a port of entry. Mexican citizens need to apply at a U.S. consulate. You should not begin work with the new employer until the new TN authorization is granted.
