Entry Level Trade Compliance Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level trade compliance manager job?
Focus on building foundational knowledge in import and export regulations, customs classification, and trade documentation. Coursework in international trade, supply chain, or business law gives you a strong base, and any internship or co-op experience handling compliance paperwork stands out. Certifications like the Certified Customs Specialist designation signal commitment to the field and help entry level candidates compete against more experienced applicants.
Which companies hire entry level trade compliance managers?
Companies hiring entry level trade compliance managers right now include L3Harris, Arrow Electronics, and Magna International, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Manufacturers, freight forwarders, and large retailers with global supply chains tend to hire at this level most consistently, as they need support staff to manage the volume of regulatory filings and customs activity their operations require.
Are there remote entry level trade compliance manager jobs?
Yes, though remote availability at this level is more limited than at senior levels. About 36% of entry level trade compliance manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with hybrid arrangements being the more common option. Fully remote roles tend to favor candidates who already have some compliance software experience, so building familiarity with trade management platforms improves your chances.
Are these new grad trade compliance manager jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad and junior roles that explicitly welcome candidates with little or no professional experience. A new grad posting typically accepts zero to two years of experience and considers internships, academic projects, or a portfolio of compliance work in place of a full employment history. Look for language like 'entry level,' 'recent graduates welcome,' or 'will train' in the job description as a reliable signal.
Which industries hire the most entry level trade compliance managers?
Entry Level trade compliance manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Automotive, and Medical Devices, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive demand at the entry level because their cross-border sourcing, manufacturing, and distribution operations generate a constant need for staff who can support classification, licensing, and regulatory reporting under the supervision of senior compliance professionals.
